twas a lovely weekend -- art & good food & friends old & new & scrabble & ridiculously serious comedic movies & yard sale finds of the century & drinks & scrabble & good food. pictures to follow...
my orchid bloomed! i was just watering the plants before i turned in and low and behold there she was. she popped out over night. i think i shall call her lola. when i was little i named everything, i used to pencil in names next to animals in all my books. apparently old habits die hard...
speaking of old habits, i was reminded during a conversation with phil about desired superhero powers of my love for rainbow brite this weekend. this childhood loves appears to tie in with my deserve to dress monochromatically:

on a side note, its become increasingly obvious to me that i am edging if not teetering on the brink of adulthood today, despite how it may seem (i am posting photos of rainbow brite here). today i got online and got really excited about the idea of ordering new pillows. i was checking them out on company store deciding what level of firmness i wanted and i realized that that was something an adult did and an adult decided on and an adult ordered. previously pillows have been provided for me or taken from my parents house. it was another weird realization when i bought something other than white pillow cases (something my mom always had) and that i had the authority now to purchase say yellow. and paint my walls blue. etc etc and so on.
apparently, now i even have the authority to pick something like, say a rainbow brite pillowcases. haha!
