its that oklahomaness in me that has me singing that song. soon ill be onto surrey with a fringe on top, hopefully before this post ends.
what a lovely sunday - after so much work this week - think 12 hour days - i was able to come and relax in charleston. andrew and i woke up, and its always a much nicer day when i wake up next to him, we went to brunch and had a delicious breakfast - i spinach and artichoke eggs benedict, he sweet potato pancakes. then we walked around a bit and went to the park where we laid down and eventually took a nap. after that doze in the sun like cats, we walked to a coffee shop were we completed our sunday constitution as andy would say and read the nyt over some coffee - well i had my new drink du jour a "dirty chai" which is a chai latte with soy milk and a shot of espresso. we came up with some good art related ideas that we will hopefully implement.
he left for work and i left for a date with charleston - walking along king street, lunch at sermet with a side of interview magazine and a splash of my ipod. a long walk to the battery and a bench, bayside reading session. i brought about 8 magazines that i need to catch up on and thats not even counting the 849 page september vogue at home. on my walks i saw:
1.) an older gentleman with a plaid stroller that had the moquito netting - inside was not a baby human but a baby poddle. interesting.
2.) a line of 7 french country green bikes with white baskets (i was green with envy and not just because of the bikes relection)
3.) a man riding a bike that had to be at least 9-10 ft off the ground
and then i came back to call applecare which was surprisingly able to fix my computer over the phone in 10 easy minutes. im not convinced it is totally fixed - only time will tell.
now off the grocery store!
everyone lets come to charleston soon!
