What is it with all these new tv shows that have parents that are so hot that you wonder why their tv kids aren't jumping their fine 40 year old bones?
C'mon, Fox and ABC, America *needs* kid-driven incest as a plotline.

Anyone? I mean, aside from the children of film stars?
The shows I'm thinking about in particular are The O.C. (Fox) and The Days (ABC). O.C. has Peter Gallagher and Tate Donovan, who clearly started out in life being total nerds but then took a wrong turn out of Des Moines and ended up being hip surfer dads who managed to nebbishly charm the hot blonde from the right side of the tracks.
The Days has a dad who looks just like Peter Krause from 6 Ft Under. This guy has never been a nerd. He was probably the quiet jock type who never picked on the nerds in school, but never stood up for them either. Now he's got 2 sons who are the sort of guys his friends would have picked on, and he's got the chance to redeem himself a little for being silent by trying (awkwardly) to show them that they're ok being mini-dorks.
The moms on these shows are glamourous, blonde, and, apparently, all under 40. Oh, they've got issues. Yes they do. Unexpected pregnancy. Parents. Things that make them human. They're generous. They care about other people. Their kids do, too.
Yeah, I know. No kid above a certain age thinks his parent is hot. But come on. It's tv. It could work.
