so, those stats!
thirty podbang participants read 37 stories in seventeen different fandoms.
combined, they read over one and a half million words. possibly a LOT over - but there are some serious epics on the list that are definitely bigger than the 30,000 word requirement, but that we we need to manually add up. and...we're just not up for that today.
all told? we produced one hundred sixty-three hours, forty minutes, and thirty-five seconds of podfic. that's not far short of a full week, if you don't sleep or take any breaks.
we also produced a ton of fascinating reflections on the recording process, which this post is not meant to call an end to! those are always welcome. <3
and, you might ask, what's next on the
amplificathon horizon?
well, you might remember how we burbled a little, way back in july, about a fest or challenge that was feedback-based. and then we did podbang instead. :p but that idea was not dead! just delayed! and actually, now we think it will be even better!
we've revised and refined our ideas several times (and, well, just revised the whole concept again yesterday, to not compete directly with a project the very lovely
paraka is likely to announce soon), absorbed and are assimilating a new
podmod, and are currently working out the final details, but in broad strokes: it's an amplirecathon. :p
watch this space for an announcement and many, many more details! coming 11 january, 2010. \o/
