(Your text link doesn't seem to be working. At least, it's not working for me. I was going to see if there were any clues as to whether someone who doesn't really know canon would be able to get by listening to this. Any opinion?)

Thanks for the headsup. I've fixed the text link and updated the description to give a bit more info.

Description: Diana, who would be called truth-bringer and peace-emissary, for she had fought for these names. But in her heart, she did not yet wear them.

Part of "Sometimes I Wish I could fly like a bird up in the sky" series of racebending AU stories in which Kryptonians were black. Kal-El landed in Kansas in the 1930s and takes into context various moments in the American Civil Rights movement. This story takes place in early April 3-5, 1968 around the time of the assignation of Dr. King. Wonder Woman here follows the Wonder Woman (vol. 1) #105 / JL&JLU origin of Wonder Woman, where she was formed by Hippolyta from clay and given life by the Greek gods. Wonder Woman is new to the world of men, and as someone raised in an ancient Greek culture, frequently speaks in terms of epithets. Diana arrow-showering, Kal-El super-man, etc.

As to knowledge of cannon. Slight knowledge is useful. But I'm mainly an animated series cannon gal
