Hey. Thanks for getting me to notice this fic and author through your recording.
I downloaded some of your podfics by now and feel obliged to comment and thank you now. It took me a bit to get used to your accent, which I can't identify by any means cause I'm German. (You are British, aren't you? [damn it, even that I'm bad at deciphering, even if I took advanced English classes at school and should by far be able to tell the damn difference between accents of american, british and australian English.] But can you tell me, where specifically you come from?) After some time though I grew quite attached to your voice and pronunciation of words like "alone" or "moan" or "mind".
I also appreciate that you don't toy with music inserts (can you say it like that?) here and there, which often annoys the hell out me when listening to an audioBOOK.
Last but not least your choices of reading material by now pleased me every time. Like this one. It is such a beautifully written story and I think your way of reading, which is always a bit melancholic, fits perfectly.
I'm so sorry I'm so late replying to you. Thank you so much for your comment, it really made my day!
I'm from Ireland. :) And I wouldn't worry about not being able to identify my accent, it happens more often that you'd think. I've had Irish people (in my home town) think my accent was Canadian so it is kind of hard to distinguish. I'm so happy you've come to like it though. I always think I speak too fast.
I've actually incorporated music into some of my later podfics, but not in the Harry Potter podfics. I find it hard to find music that could compliment a Harry Potter fic.
I would recommend lovely_slyth to anyone. Her stories are incredibly lovely. You should friend her and read everything she's written. :)
Again, thank you so much for the lovely comment. I'm so happy that you enjoy my podfics. :)
