So, the funniest thing happened on my way to the forum yesterday. I was at an art exhibit at my local "women's club," whatever that is (all I know is that's where all the WASP kids went to learn how to eat with the proper forks and foxtrot), and I hear this:
"Oh, you should really try out Livejournal."
"Yes, I know, but the school computers won't let me."
And I think to myself, where have I heard that before? OH RIGHT, I have one of those things!
So, um, hi. Sorry about forgetting about you, I know I said it was only for a week or two. I guess tonight I'll be sleeping on the cyber sofa. ;)
I'ma catch up on friends journals (no communities that would take forever) and update my reading list, but that's about it.
Well, I'd do more, but all my teachers have written "does not turn in assignments on time" on my report card and I have to devise some fallacy for my parents to swallow so I don't get grounded/have money taken away.
QUESTION MEME:
1. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up.
My computer is about it, remember vision issues, but if I turn my head I got my iPod touch named Moe streaming Futurama, the lyrics to a Smiths and Bruce Springsteen song sharing a page on my pin up board, the flashcards that make up my exercise regimen, a book I ordered from MIT Press by some Italians on the neuroscience of vision impairment and a cross shaped dream catcher I made when I was seven.
2. What's the last thing you ate?
Luna bars. It's where I get all my vitamins, because I don't eat unless food is placed in front of me or when bored.
3. What are you wearing now?
Blue jeans, argyle socks, a blue floral shirt that used to belong to my grandmother (too lazy this morning to drag on anything that involved having to open the closet; it was hanging out in the Salvation Army box) and a black three quarter sleeve sweater.
4. What's your occupation?
High school student.
5. What do you hear right now?
A hairdryer, every other female in my family is addicted to primping.
6. Who was the last person you hugged?
His name is Jamie, but I call him Russell, because he looks like RTD (not really, just the slightly chubby nerdy thing going on.) He was out of school for two weeks, because he was sick (he has an immune deficiency disorder and only one lung.) Thinking of that now, maybe that wasn't such a good idea, what with germs . . .
7. What was/is for dinner?
Fish soup, the cook tells me.
8. Chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla ice cream (or other)?
CHOCOLATE, DID SOMEONE SAY CHOCOLATE! =O
9. When did you last see your sibling(s)?
Last night, she made me watch Glee's sex education episode (kill me,) but I played Fruit Ninja on my iPod instead.
10. What websites do you always visit when you go online?
It USED to be Livejournal, but also Facebook, DeviantArt, Netflix, my email, my school's website.
11. What was the last thing you bought?
My SAT registration
12. Do you think your name suits you?
Yeah, I may not be angelic or godesslike, but it's unique and when you think of it you can only think of me, because I am the only one you will probably ever meet with such a name.
13. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Studying for a Bachelor's Degree and totally doing graduate work on the sly so I can peg good laboratory for doctoral study.
14. Where's your birthmark?
I have a dot, halfway down my left bicep and on the inside of my left ring finger.
15. How easily do you cry, and about what (apart from obviously traumatic things like losing someone you’re close to)?
A nod to
c0ntrarywise 's answer, Toy Story 3 is nothing to be ashamed of. I bawled. I pretty much cry about anything, whenever I get aggravated I cry, which is really inconvenient, because people don't really take you seriously when you're crying. I never get my point across which makes me more angry . . .
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
Piano, so I could sing along to my favourite songs!
17. How are you?
Allright, burdened with anxiety and guilt.
18. What is your favourite childhood memory?
Reading early in the morning, curled up on my grandparent's sofa, the room lit only by the huge skylights filled with spring sun.
19. Who is your best friend?
"is"? All my friends are best, since I've known them for so long I pretty much am comfortable with saying I love them. Except the one, that when I said that, replied "love is only an illusion to facilitate human mating."
20. What's your latest addiction?
Good voice actors. I could listen to hours of Hank Azaria, Tress MacNeille or Doc Hammer reading one line in as many different voices as they could. Lynn Redgrave is actually pretty good, for a non professional.
21. What's the last good movie you saw?
I just finished the Futurama I mentioned before, and I have to say Bender's Big Score had a time travel plot to rival the masters of science fiction.
