Me Fail English, but That's Unpossible

Midterms are over! Only five more months until summer begins  . . . and only a few until sun. *sigh* I never thought I'd say this, but I'm tired of snow closings! I mean the sitting around is lovely, but its only a day at a time and then I have to dig out the car with an ice pick, spend an hour walking to school instead of fifteen minutes so I don't kill myself slipping on ice, trudge through knee deep icy snow and THERE'S A TEN FOOT MOUNTAIN IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE.

I think I did pretty well overall this semester, although on the math test I had the ironic disability of being unable to solve problems, because I used complicated concepts we had just learned when it only needed an easy one-step equation we reviewed first week. *headdesk*

So the actual purpose of this post was just to say hi, before I disappear for a week or two.
1) I have a trivia challenge about World Affairs this Saturday and it is basically testing the teams worldliness in general. I'm so excited, such a nerd for these type of things (even though I'm actually not that good.) My specialties are gender equality, world religions and Kenya. Plus, the normal reading the entire New York Times every day. Oh and I haven't started studying yet. We're going to get pounded, but practice makes perfect. I've got plenty more years of cramming to go.
2) I learned how to knit. It's addicting.
3) My Unitarian Universalist Youth Group has to prepare for the annual service that we run. I love this religion; once a week it lets me feel like a hippie. So far there'll be sermons, flowers, terrariums, choral singing, hymn singing, hand holding, sun appreciation, poetry reading and Africa fundraising.
4) I've started re-watching the old Simpson's episodes. It's addicting. My favorite characters are definitely Moe, Smithers and Burns (who are one entity) and Principal Skinner (despite what my icon implies.)
5) At some point, I have to do a presentation on how journaling helps one get in touch with their spiritual self. Which means I have to actually make some examples of sketchbooks, commonplace books, etc.
6) I have three art assignments which are three weeks overdue each. Good thing, I'm good at art or I wouldn't get such a lax turn in schedule, but it still looks bad.
7) Spring is test season! So far I have to study for AP World History, SAT II Mathematics 2, SAT II Biology M, SAT II World History, and the National Spanish exam (not the mention finals.) Woop-de-fricken doo, tests that could help determine where I get into college . . .

On a different note, I've realized that I REALLY like listening to my sister get yelled at. Not so much in a "ha, ha" vindictive sort of way, but in a "ooh, shiny" loves seeing car crashes sort of way.

I also saw the King's Speech Thursday. Agree with my mother it was tad over dramatic, but I got so sucked into it, I didn't care. Standing alone, the art direction was GORGEOUS and had me sighing as I left the theatre. Plus, a stellar cast; Geoffrey Rush how I love thee. Consensus: good movie!

And that's all. I'll be back.

school, challenge, i call it uni even though i live in ny, ooh shiny!, homework, out there, poetry, news, art i tell you!, icons, clubs, family
