I had a thought today

Does Daala really have the authority to try Tahiri for Pellaeon’s murder?

While yes, Tahiri seems to be a GA citizen subject to its justice…Pellaeon may not have been, since at the time he was Chief of State of the Imperial Remnant, decidedly NOT subordinate to and leading an armed insurrection against the “legitimate” GA Chief of State, Jacen Solo.

The murder took place aboard an Imperial ship in orbit on a non-aligned (former-GA) world, Fondor.

This was basically an Imperial crime, for all that it was committed by a GA citizen. Technically, shouldn’t Daala extradite Tahiri to the Empire?

Granted, Galaxy-Far-Far-Away law doesn’t work the same as ours, but…extradition just makes sense, doesn’t it?

But I'd love to see Jag spring this on Daala, and I’m sure that a lengthy, well-publicized Imperial trial would bring up some facts that the Moffs would rather remain quiet-like the fact that they were in on it.
