So...in March I paid off my car. I was very pleased, because it was about 3 months early, and I was looking forward to not having a car payment for a while.
Immediately thereafter, the fuel pump went out. Replaced it for about $300.
Last month, the A/C stopped working when the car was stopped. Took it to a shop who diagnosed the problem as needing a $1500 repair. Happily fake!uncle works at a vocational school, and I got the repair done for $100.
Picked it up Wednesday. So of course today
this happened. Sixteen year old kid took a corner too fast (I was at least 100 feet from the corner) and rammed his Mercury Mariner up my little Saturn's ass. He was very apologetic & his whole family showed up (mom, dad, and grandparents). His mother kept hugging me and apologizing, which was cute.
But now I'm worried they'll total it out. This is the second time the car's been
rear-ended and it's now 5 years old. I hate being an adult.
