Hello from England!
Arrived VERY early Sunday with absolutely no sleep (I took a tranquilizer and was still unable to sleep on the plane), found that the airline had lost Gram's luggage, and headed off to visit Bosworth battlefield (which I found interesting, even if Gram didn't so much *wink*).
We both got sick Monday, so mostly laid about all day. In the afternoon our hostess, Sally, drove me in to Leicester to buy our rail tickets to London. Today we roamed Leicester...visited the Jewry Roman Wall & Museum, Leicester Cathedral, the Guildhall (which's been there since 1390!), and did a bit of shopping. We tried to see the ruins of a Norman castle in Castle Gardens, but they were closed... :( Then we stopped by the Peckleton parish church (is it odd that I enjoy roaming about graveyards?), and I've taken loads of photos!
Tomorrow we head in to London, where we'll meet
suzvoy for dinner & see/do just about everything before we head to Switzerland on Friday. Will try to stay in touch as much as I can, though I won't always be able to find a computer & connection :)
