It's the last week before our Disney presentation, which means lots of running around like a crazy person, stressing about every little thing. I may not be online as much. Or I may be on more, weeping. Whatever works.
Have also begun training
ambercita4 for Beach to Bay. Given that my knee no longer wants me to run at all, I think we're about in the same boat (only not trying to run in said boat, because that would just be silly). I got 1 1/2 miles in on Saturday before my knee threatened to throttle me (how does a knee throttle someone, you ask? Please don't), and got about 1/2 mile in with
ambercita4 yesterday (though happily my knee didn't hurt yesterday--much). So... good thing Beach to Bay is a long way off. YEAH.
Also: I think my cat may be deaf. It hadn't really clicked with me until yesterday, but...well, I knew she didn't comprehend her name. She doesn't respond to "HEY!" or snapping, clapping, or whistling, either. And despite the fact that her favorite thing in the world is to watch the toilet flush (don't ask), unless she actually SEES me press the handle, she doesn't come running in to see it. One would think she'd associate the flush!noise with the action...but she doesn't. So...deaf? Not that she needs another problem (to add to her lack of balance, depth perception, and case of the shakes), but I think she really might be.
