What a productive Saturday!
Slept in a bit, got up and did a little shopping (got a funky green bathmat & a plant stand! YAY!), went to my parents house and set up my tent in their front yard so I could seal all the seams. May I just say that it is a damn nice tent? Much nicer than the $20 Big Lots! tent. It has all these little cubbies inside to store stuff...and a gear loft! Am I the only person who things a gear loft is seriously cool? Though I must admit that I suck at packing things back up. I only just barely got it back in to its nifty little carrying case.
Actually saw my mother for the first time in several weeks, as she got her ass out of bed about 1:00 p.m. and asked if I'd go garage sale-ing with her. Of course, most of the garage sales were closed because people are too smart to stay out with their crap in this heat. So we went to Taco Bell instead.
Came home, went swimming, then walked to the store for the final necessary camping provisions (water, beef jerky, etc). Amazingly, only had 3 calls from work, where the Stupid New Girl was working this weekend. Though the other lady I work with did end up having to go back about 4:00 to help her finish *shakes head*
Fun fun fun! It's so nice to see Jubilee actually in something of a position of authority. I mean, really, she's been training as a superhero since puberty. She knows how very wrong things go when they do go wrong. And she honestly cares about her people. It's about time someone took all that in to account.
...are the tech gurus or whatever KIDS? Because...really? Kids?
Stark's Hopeless Initiative Empowers Losers & Dorks? So Jubilee.
Sofia annoys me.
Wow, something like continuity. Even if it doesn't really explain uglyhair!Jubilee from Wolverine: Origins. Or the fact that none of the X-Dudes (even Logan) bothered to see if she was alive after M-Day. I do like that Logan doesn't pass judgement, though--he doesn't really have the moral high ground.
NICE use of Adamantium-loss and Power-loss. Very nice. Good boy, Kevin Grevioux.
And they're back: "We're good." "Who said we weren't?"
fun without air conditioning,
