JQ's Top 10 Favorite Christmas Songs for 2008

It had to be done.

The Top 10 Christmas Songs
10. "Best Time of the Year" - Christy Carlson Romano: So fun and bouncy. All holiday music should be this exhilarating.
9. "Last Christmas" - Ashley Tisdale: For those that don’t know, Ashley Tisdale holds a special place in my heart. For what reason I cannot tell you why except that maybe it’s because I’ve listened to her cover of "Kiss the Girl" no less than 103 times (thank you, iTunes).
8. "My Only Wish (This Year)" - Britney Spears: When this song comes on I can’t help but bounce in my chair.
7. "All That I Want” - The Weepies: Semi-sappy but oh so sweet; I tend to play this one at odd times during the year.
6. "Baby Please Come Home" - Anberlin: Anberlin is one of my favorite bands anyways, so it’s no surprise they’re on here. What may be surprising is that this is one Christmas song (besides "All I Want for Christmas is You" and "All That I Want") that I play year-round.
5. "Carol of the Bells" - The Trans-Siberian Orchestra & Metallica: EPIC. "Carol of the Bells" is my FAVORITE Christmas carol…but there’s no version enough to have in my collection except this one. I mean it is INSANELY awesome.
4. "This Gift"- 98 Degrees: Just the sort of sappy holiday song that I love. *Le sigh.*
3. "What Christmas Means to Me" - Hanson: Hanson’s "Snowed In" is one of three full Christmas albums that I own (the others being "Merry Christmas" by Mariah Carey ON TAPE, and "Home for Christmas" by ‘N Sync ON TAPE) and this is my favorite song off of it.
2. "Greatest Time of Year" - Aly & AJ: I put this one on and dance around my room. Not gonna lie. This one and the one below get put on repeat.
1. "All I Want For Christmas is You" - Mariah Carey: OF COURSE this is #1. This bish is a classic!

Honorable Mention
+ "Kiss Me At Midnight" - 'N Sync : Okay, so it couldn't go in the top ten because it's really about New Years and not Christmas but it mentions Christmas, and it's 'N Sync. Nuff said.
+ The ENTIRE Straight No Chaser Christmas album "Holiday Spirits": If you don't know, I DETEST A Cappella groups, but browsing while making this list, I found this album and all I can say is it's the shit. But these guys proved my point that every damn male a capella group sings Toto's "Africa"...REALLY GUYS? But still, I am kind of in love with this album even though I've only heard like 10 30second clips. I'm pretty excited and will probably giving my mom a copy of this.

*This is not at all Christmas related but I had give this guy some love. I've been eagerly anticipating Kevin Rudolf's debut album after hearing "Let It Rock" way back when and was in NO WAY let down when it was released earlier this week. Zomg, this kid is the shit. My favorites off the album are "Welcome to the World (feat. Rick Ross)" and even more so "Coffee & Donuts"; it's really hard for me to take these two off repeat so check em out!
