Long story short: Jay became a fan. We had a great time. The opening band was great live as the lead singer was extremely expressive/charismatic (the music, as recorded, is okay) and we met a local musician/huge Matt Good fan whose band is actually pretty good. I look forward to going to see them someday.

We stood one person back but otherwise front and center so even though I'm short I could clearly see every bead of sweat on Matt Good and the fact that he was drinking a pink Vitamin Water and a Stella Artois. Ha. It's too bad it was Detroit, or I could've brought my new camera and gotten some great shots.

Also, we met the drummer and bassist, who were very nice.

We heard largely that MG doesn't make much on American shows, which wouldn't surprise me because St. Andrew's Hall didn't sell out. I guess it makes sense because Canada plays a lot more MG on the radio than the US. It just seemed odd to me because I consider MG way more famous than Brand New and they sell out The Fillmore. But then they're an American band from the Northeast so that'd make sense.

There was a sweet shirt design at the show, but I didn't have enough because I bought Jay a pizza. OH WELL. I'll have to order it from the Interbutts.

And that is all for now.
