So oddmonster and I just watched Mulholland Drive, and WE GET IT.  Like, it's actually pretty straight forward once you figure it out. It helps to have two or three brains going at it, though. jadefire88 contributed with a quote from Naomi Watts which helped.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is in some ways the most horrifying horror film I've ever seen. It's really weird, because I don't think any of it sunk in the first time I saw it, in the theater, when it came out.

OF published fanfiction - The List of 7, a novel by Mark Frost (yes, that Mark Frost). Not only is it Sherlock Holmes AU, but it's Real People Fic, featuring Arthur Conan Doyle.
