Really great exhibition of artist Louise Bourgeois at the
Hirshhorn
Museum. If you're in the Washington metro area, check it out. Bourgeois
was born in 1911 and is still creating art today. It's worth even stopping
by the plaza outside the museum to see possibly my

The Obamas are reportedly interested in works by Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, and Ed Ruscha for the White House.

Nice.

So, I bought a painting. It's not mine yet, it's still hanging in the gallery. I really didn't expect to buy a painting today. But I did. I think I love it.

It occurred to me today, while reading Diane Arbus' biography, that the film "Fur" is totally Real People Fic, of the AU variety.

okay, I only had one random thought. It's an interesting biography, if not that well written.

Project: take all of the artist monographs off the library shelves. Stack
them up according to gender. photograph the piles. Do the same things for
other categorizations.

hire someone else to put them all back:)
