Cardamom-scented Oatmeal Pancakes.
These are ridiculously good. I didn't have any almonds or apricots so I made 'em with dried blueberries. Still freaking good. Especially as I freshly ground the cardamom as I only have whole pods.

I'm not a regular reader of wincest. But this is one of the best SPN season 6 fics I've read, if not the best. Her characterizations of RoboSam and Dean are spot on, she manages to do wincest without belittling what Dean had with Lisa, and man, despite the on the nose title it's just great. In many ways the wincest is beside the point in this one, so even if you're like me and not interested in wincest, I'd totally recommend giving it a read.
If season 6 continues the way it's been going, it's possibly going to replace season 4 as my favorite season.
The roomie and I did an impromptu viewing of the Miami Vice pilot last night, and I'd completely forgotten that Edward James Olmos doesn't join the cast until several episodes into the first season. Also Tubbs' character is very weird in the pilot. And dear god, it's so gorgeous, that show. The way it's shot? Doesn't belong on television. You watch it and think holy crap, really, this was on network television? People still don't shoot tv like this, the only show I can think of that remotely equals it is of course Twin Peaks. And parts of Firefly. Even so, there are sections of Miami Vice that are the most visually stunning things I've seen anywhere, including film.
