e) Are annoying by definition and should be shunned until they learn manners, tact and/or the value of being a hermit.

What constitutes an "abrasive personality"? Or "offputting behaviour"? There are so many definitions of these depending on who you are. It's all relative.

But whatever -

C) Who am I to dictate or prescribe the way a person should be acting, when it is precisely the scripts and schemas of society that get us into so much trouble in the first place.

I think that each and every person should want to take criticism, and help their own personality. Most people dont want to change though, and thats just the real world.We all have faults, some are just more annoying than others.

E. A is a good answer but I wanted to say that they need to learn better communication and diplomacy skills. I'm not advocating that they never be abrasive. There's a time and a place for everything.
