hi all
once again, I have been inundated with other things. So much so that I haven't had time to sit and compose much for my LJ friends. BUT, please know I've been scanning my friends and keeping up. A quick gloss:
1. Wedding invitations: done (finally). After more than 3 tries with ordering the envelopes, they are here and RED and pretty. The invitations themselves, after being screwed up by the printer, are now done, and need only a few more copies of one little thing. Looks like they'll be done this weekend. YAY!
2. Trial. Tried the case to a mistrial on Tuesday, two weeks ago. Find out on Thursday that we'll go again the following Tuesday. Spent the interim revamping and making better, but to no avail. Spent three days last week (read 16 hours a day) in trial, and the jury was out for 6 hours, but guilty on both counts. 50 year old man, and 2 potential life (read 30 years each) sentences. Sentencing hearing is going to be rough.
3. Prepping another trial for next week. Same EVIL prosecutrix.
4. Sprained my ankle. Yes, I know - only me. On crutches and while I'm good at them, my shoulders are sore. Anyone with experience have any suggestions?
That's about it in a nutshell. When I have the opp to sit down and tell the MIL berry picking story, I shall. Suffice to say, my MIL has stayed out of my stress level lately, and I am grateful. I know she doesn't approve of some of my plans, but I'm so busy right now I don't care, and she's backed off.
