It has been a while
Still no sucess on finding a job in this uber depression era. Since manufacturing and development is being done primarily overseas and companies seem more interested in hiring kids with degrees who can not do the work, my hunt continues.
Tomorrow, Five of Ten, the Oracle and myself head south for Five of Ten's conference. I hope to have the oppourtunity to meet with all of the usual suspects. I will be attending the conferences with her for I will be taking notes to cover the stuff she does not hear.
There is still no indication if my former employment will pull out of the death spiral or not. A lot of depressed and anxious people up there. Sadly with no military contracts looming since nothing new has been ordered since Bush, it does not bode well for them or the nation as a whole. Military depots are starting to get low on ordinace and nothing is being ordered to replace them. It is like Obama's claim that there is more oil exploration happening now than eight years ago. There may be more driling, but those were from permits issued by Bush and not the innoculated one. The Petrolium institute clearly shows that less domestic oil production is happening thanks to Obama. The Obama energy department has cut down issuance of oil drilling permits by two thirds. But he is living up to his promise as Candidate Obama and what his energy secretary wants, ten dollar a gallon gasoline to make us get off using it. There are no viable options to turn to.
By the way, each Chevy Volt is subsidized by the tax payers to the tune of eighty thousand dollars to get the price of each car down to forty thousand. The car's range is just slightly better than the prototype electric car that Henry Ford experimented with back in the teens or twenties and they had to us a chemical battery for they did not have recharging technology at the time. The car's range is pitiful on flatland and goes to half in mountainous driving. In other words if I owned a chevy volt, it would not have gotten me to work one way.
This president also appears to havc tremendous difficulties fathoming basic math and physics concepts. His view is that his philosphy is not wrong, it must be realilty so reshape realilty to fit his philosphy.
I am also becoming heartened that Obama is losing some of his main support for the next election. I am running into more former African American Obama supporters who are ready to ditch him no matter who the Republican nominee turns out to be. I just hope that the Republican party does a number a spanish language advertisements towards the Hispanic population for if they understood the issues, they would find they have a lot more in common with the Republicans than the Democrats.
