Life as been a paper writing hell.. But I have completed the fab four and don't have finals for 1.5 weeks... so it's time to let loose!
I'm LD for Phoebe's STF play, "On the Open Road"! Which means I am officially very very busy this next semester, but it'll be fun especially since I'll be working with an awesome team. Miranda and I while not technically living together will spend many waking moments together on both Arcadia and STF.
Yesterday we visited a country house called Kenwood. I hate that there are only 7 people in my class and everyone is fine except for two.. they are bitchy and always just wanna go home. WHY did they sign up for a class which spends most of it's time on field trips?!?!?!? Yesterday the main bitch couldn't stop complaining about how cold the house was. And when we went to the cefe for lunch, 3 of us sat at the table next to the bus boy and she came up and said, "wow, funny you guys got this table. he (the bus boy) kicked us out of it." He was right FUCKIN THERE!!! Then she walked away.. we were silent for a few moments. it was so awkward. she has no respect for anybody. this is the same chicky-broad who yelled at me and told me to stay out of her life... not that i was ever or would ever want to be involved with it. Anywho the best part of the trip was that our prof was friends with one of the heads of the bldg so we got to go through the house via secret entrances, go beyond red ropes, AND go through the attic to the space just on the other side of the facade's pediment and under the roof. The house was built in the 17th century and remodelled in the 18th century by Robert Adam, so everything had been done by hand. We could have stayed there for longer, but that girl kept making noises and saying how she was hungry, and cold, and whatnot.
The guy who showed us around was awesome and explained how to look at a house in detail and stuff. It was amazing. During our break I went down to the water and watched some swans clean themselves. A squirel came really close to me. i could have scooped it up it was so damn cute! And the hilldsides were beautiful. I went to a tall one and could barely see London's skyline beyond the trees. A gift shop guy started a conversation with me about how blue jays and red robins sit on a gate right in front of the gift shop doorway and watch. he was nice.
I went to the Tate Modern on a recent field trip and went on this exhibit called "Slides". It's literally 5 levels of slides which you can go on. the tallest being on the 5th floor. I went on the 3rd floor one because I didn't have time for the others, but I'm definitely planning on either taking andrew there or going myself, cuz it was awesome! The whole idea is that buildings across the world should have slides because they don't waste energy, they're quick, and they would help alleviate daily stress. What office job worker wouldn't have a smile on their face as they got off work and slid on down the building? While waiting for our ticket time to get on the slides we walked to the George Inn, where Dickens used to hang and write, and our prof bought a round of half pints. Needless to say, the slide was that much better being a light-weight and tipsy!
So there's that. Tonight i am getting drunk and or stoned off my ass in celebration of the ability to breath. Here are some quizes which i found amusing..
You paid attention during 80% of high school!
68-84% Pretty good, you know that there are libraries and newspapers, and you remember what you've read. You were a child that wasn't left behind!
Do you deserve your high school diploma?Create a Quiz Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
