Haven't posted in the last two weeks because I've been spending all my non-class related time at the Gate theatre working on "The Chairs". I was there from 9am to 10 or 11pm everyday. I went to 2 out of my five classes, one for a presentation and another becuase i already had an unexcused absence. Press night was 2 days ago, so life has calmed down a bit although I haven't done laundry in a month and am down to my last pair of undies... a thong >_< . I slept from 2am to 3pm today... and the sky was completely dark by 4:30pm... so i'm a bit depressed. Thanksgiving was cool cause instead of eating a traditional feast we went for italian after the opening show which went very well. I can't wait to see reviews!
So during tech week I had 3 papers due and a presentation.. The presentation was ok and I have only completed one paper which was sent in 2 days ago.. I'm a bad student. Thankfully I have been granted understanding teachers. It's not as though I was spending my time on other classes or anything.
Andrew Meyer's coming to visit me in a few weeks which is exciting. I get to show him around like I did Jean, so I'm sure it'll be a blast, plus he's an awesome guy. He really wants to see the architecture, so I'm gonna take him on some of my architecture class routes. I dunno if he's interested in Palladiansim and Inigo Jones, but I've become obsessed so we'll definitely be visiting the Banqueting Hall and Covent Garden. And he's actually heard of my show and wants to see it so I got him a ticket for closing night. My only worry is that his girlfriend would get jealous... but I'm not even sure if they're still going out or not.. eep?
I'm excited and looking forward to next semester. Classes will be a bitch (2 art history, spanish, and scene design are a hellish combo) but I'm looking forward to learning in them nonetheless.. I recognize and am proud of my student dorkiness. I have already been asked about lighting the "other" STF collaboration. It sounds cool but I don't want to say yes until I know what else is out there. I asked Phoebes about hers and it sounds really cool so I might sign on.
I have to get ready for the show tonight.. as I will every night, except sundays, for the next 3 weeks. Professional theatre is a life sucking biatch.. and I love it!
