Homemade mac and cheese - my way. I used white cheddar, parmesan and blue cheese, on rotini (for lack of another pasta in the cupboard), with crab. Canned, but still real. I meant to add fresh tarragon, but when I tasted the sauce, I didn't want to touch it.
I was especially pleased that the little bit of blue cheese I used balanced out so well - the sauce was cheesy, but not overpowering.
Served directly from the pot, not baked. Baking would have been good though. But by this time we were hungry.
Dessert was fresh local strawberries poached in brandy with fresh mint, served over vanilla frozen yogurt.
I think I needed more veggies in there, but there wasn't any ROOM.
Meh. I had salad for lunch.
