*kiss* I love you. And if they do apologize (although it is far more likely that they will just start trying to convince everyone that I somehow forced you to write this--They've lied about everything else so far) as loudly and put as much time, energy and effort into it as they have into their offenses, we'll hear about it from sources besides them (as in we'll receive the money and property they owe us, hear that Dave and Don have resigned from MAGE in disgrace and that Jodi has thrown that abusive son-of-a-bitch out of the house).
I am sorry you ever had to go this Cat, but I am also glad to see you expressing that this is indeed how you feel (and no, I don't think for one that Rob "brainwashed" you). It's a shame when your own parental units can't get their acts together. You may be their child, but they should respect that this is the choice you made in your life. I hope that Maureen can get out of there as quickly as possible as well.
Parents will always think their children are.. well, children. It is hard for them to see them as independent functioning intelligent units-- as adults. That is why, even when we are 30, our parents keep reminding us to blow our nose.
I'm sorry your parents don't understand, and I'm sorry it is so difficult. I guess part of being an adult is knowing when to stand up for yourself and care less about what other people think, and start caring more about what you want.
Sometimes (speaking as a parent) it's sooo hard to just but out of your child's life. You still see them as being that little girl you rocked to sleep night after night. But when being involved in your children's lives starts to effect their happiness and you let your over protectiveness destroy the life they chose to live it's gone too far. You trust your child's choices in life, if you trust your up-bringing of that child.
