Now I Wanna....

The song "I Wanna Be Your Dog" by the Stooges may arguably be the earliest punk hit single in music history.
At this point it is over 40 years old, having been released back in 1969, so  the number of musicians for whom Iggy and the band have been an influence is impossible to count.

As a music junkie,I periodically run across covers and remixes of the song, and have long wanted to put together a collection of them.
Well, I finally got around to doing just that.
I avoided punk rock covers that did not do anything more than a sloppier repeat of the original, and left out several versions that I just didn't like ( a band called Titmachine, for example).I am sure there are many more versions out there that I am just unaware of.
I don't claim that this is authoritative and all encompassing.
Still, it turned out fairly interesting, and somewhat representative of my musical taste overall as well.  Perhaps a bit heavy on the "electro" side...but that's what I listen to, so that's what I had on my hard drives.
Hope you enjoy them
