Apparently I read to many 'Romance' Novels, or as my hubby and brothers term them 'Smut'.
What is wrong with a little romance? And it's not as if I limit myself to just romance novels, I read fantasy as well and the occasional something else. I just happen to be picky in regards to everything else. I love history, but finding a well written book that doesn't read like a text book is next to impossible. Religions are fascinating but the more I read on them the more I would rather have this 'oblivious' bubble over my head. Archeology is dry as dust unless you find the right author and even then you have to learn to read between the lines and realize that as much fact as they are giving you, there is just as much conjecture.
I could go on and on... but then I realize that between the two of my brothers they have never read more than 20 books that weren't texts for their courses.
Why do I react? Because that's who I am. I always seem on the defensive. And the more I try to let it go, the greater they try. Damnit!
