The great news is that it is not a brain tumour!
The not so great news is that now I have to get a spinal tap. The very day I was supposed to be going back to work following vacation. Oh well.
Now it's time to hope with me that the pressure is under 25, which means I need to be monitored, but won't have to take medication initially.
I don't really know what "monitored" means, but I'm worried it means more frequent spinal taps and eye tests, until the pressure either hits 25, or gets itself back to the normal 20 range, and the pressure goes away from around my eyes and brain.
At the end of the day, the key is to get this pressure under control, and keep my vision. I do not want to go blind. The temporary discomfort required for these tests is far better than losing my sight, though I'm really not looking forward to the spinal tap.
