I have to admit, I don't know most of these authors, but it is interesting to see the spaces they choose to write in. I recently discovered this lecture online and wish I could have gone to it. The speakers were Gregory Maguire, Susan Cooper, and Roger Sutton and they discussed writing fantasy novels. It's about 1.5 hours long, so get comfortable!

I've been reading Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness Series after it was recommended during the SCBWI NY conference by one of the editors. I have to say I have mixed feelings about the series.
