So now it's getting personal.

The whole what rights do I have once I OWN THE DAMNED CD is starting to get on my nerves. I am not paying between $5.00 and $15.00's on a cd only to be told I am not allowed to rip it to my iPod.

What's next? Digitally purchased music is not allowed to be burned?

You know, I used to feel a bit for these guys, though I never beleived that it was the computer industry itself that led to falling profit margins but the quality being sacrificed for quantity, but that's a nother story. Now? How do I feel? I feel like someone just bent me over a desk without my permission.

FYI, I'm still gonna use the record feature on my VCR, whatcha gonna do about that? Tell me to rely on repeats? What about Tivo? Huh? Tivo is high a high class VCR. If I am recording something for my own use, or getting a copy in any way, then fuck off and leave me to my business. What's that? What about advertisers? Guess what? I don't watch the commercials. I fast foward, hit mute, walk out of the room, or even change the channel. I am not making any money, I am in fact spending money. Go buy stock in companies that make VHS tapes, or go talk to apple and get in on a piece of their pie. Leave me the fuck out of it.

p.s. I have all of Babylon 5 sitting next to me. Does this mean I won't buy the DVDs if I get the chance? No, it doesn't. It means I either need a job, or you people need to lower the price.

frothy rage
