Still alive in Saigon

Hi Everyone,

I have survived two weeks in Saigon. The first week was amazingly overwhelming, emotional with wanting to come home on the Thursday. I am working with some amazing people who have been great in making me feel welcome. The centre is set in a old french villa and it is by Oz standards a OHS nightmare but it is cool temperature wise and setting wise.
I have an assistant that does everything for me except teach the kids of course which is a bizarre concept after being educated to be independent and do everything yourself in the classroom...I have to learn to relinquish control - lol.

I am moving to an new apartment on the weekend which is closer to work, more central to Pham Ngu Lau - a district for the tourists but has a great vibe for just chilling with a book or something. The vietnamese coffee experience is fantastic either with or without milk - condensed milk! One a day is enough to get me through to shutdown at 5.

The emotional stuff is still happening but is getting easier it will be great once I have a social circle or know the city a little better.

Thats it and oh, I'm off to Cambodia on the 24th for 5 days...lalalalah...
