Make sure you look at the section about Bev Harris, founder of www.blackboxvoting.org. The section shows how to hack the election...and I use the term "hack" very generously here; the way that she did it--on live national television--sounds like it takes incredibly basic computer skills. And, like wiliqueen said in partly's journal, the phenomenal turnout of voters--and voters willing to put up with their registrations being questioned, willing to stand in the rain, willing to wait in line till midnight (when there weren't enough ballots in places that had that same problem ( Read more... )

I have voted.

I took my daughter with me; I've taken at least one kid with me for every election since they've been born. I like setting that example.

Also, I could not be more thrilled that the percentage of voter turnout across the country. This is a fine result, and I'm going to have to determine with myself that it's enough, that, whatever ( Read more... )

Our school has had a LOOOONNNG line and has had the entire time since I got here at eight. Yes!
