As of today's super-awesome sale (where we sold 247 boxes and they were ALL for Elf because she was the only Scout there with me), Elf only has 287 boxes to sell to reach her goal of 1500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies this year. She wants to get the iPod and the Kindle Fire that are part of those incentives...and decided early on that she wanted to get the Kindle Fire to give to her brother.
Everyone together: Awwwww!
Tomorrow we're going to be there early and sell again and hopefully knock out, like half of those remaining boxes to sell.
Then we just have to sell the rest of what's in the living room and we'll be done! Only thing left at that point will be to go to the troop Loop sale as part of the troop activities and to get more money in her troop account for Scouting activities this year (like summer camp and the troop trip to the Wisconsin Dells).
Additionally, we sat together with the Cadette Badge book last week at the sale and figured out four badges she's already earned...so we need to register those and do more badge work. Very exciting. We've also finally got the SpiralScouts badge book, and I've told the kids that this summer's schoolwork (to keep Ben from falling out of the daily school habit and have a lousy start to 6th grade next year) in order to make it fun and worthwhile.
