Photos, family, science fair, cake
There were a few more photos from our end-of-summer trip, including the family with fish they caught and Elf with a tiny toad.
There have been several outings this fall. There was camping with SpiralScouts. Elf went camping with Girl Scouts (where she rapidly earned the reputation of being the one to leave random STUFF behind her in a trail. There was a trip (without me) to a corn maze with a pit of feed corn to play in like a ball pit and a straw maze. There have been Girl Scout meetings, SpiralScout meetings, swim practice, TKD (2 more tests before their black belt test), and ice skating for Elf.
Some of these have been photographically recorded, including the kids' science fair projects. Elf and I also made a rainbow cake (lots of food coloring) following the procedure here, but with normal cake batter. It turned out VERY PRETTY.
Science fair this year was the least homicide-inducing day of science fair we've had yet. It went very smoothly, and now they're DONE. Last night the kids stayed up and we crashed...and this morning we found Ben still up, still playing Plants vs. Zombies. Elf was up till after 3. They slept till after 1 today. Today has turned into a very quiet day.
