Food and TV and Good Company
I have a cardiogod on my sofa. She is awesome and lovely and charming and sweet. Because she was coming over and was here and was new, housework got done.
Because of tylure and sure_i_am, who did it with me, my front room is tidy. Because of sure_i_am, who did it with me, the past 3 weeks' laundry is folded and put away. Because of her being here to cook for and impress, our kitchen is clean. Each of the kids emptied the dishwasher today. The dead bananas have been peeled and frozen. The migraine has been banished.
I made awesome tortellini with alfredo sauce, chicken, butter, and fresh garlic for dinner and then fresh, sugared peaches and fresh, warm, homemade, pound cake (the Joy of Cooking recipe: 3/4 lb/3 sticks/1.5 c butter, 3 c sugar, 8 eggs, 4 t powder, 1 t salt, 1/2 t mace, 2 t vanilla, 2 T rum, 1 c milk and change, 4 c flour, bake in 9x13 pan at 325 until done, which takes over an hour). It was awesome food and everyone was generous with their compliments (especially with saying "mmm" and with EATING. That always makes me happy.
We have watched two eps of Castle and cardiogod likes it. It's just all great how the day has gone. The kids had good days with their friends, too. YAY!
