Yesterday and the day before were awesome weather...sunny but breezy and low humidity and COOL out. Gorgeous. I missed it the day before yesterday, but yesterday Elf and I rode bikes to the post office and then around the park and to the library and around another park and just AROUND. It was lovely. The streets we were on were quiet so we could talk and chat and just be together and I LOVE my bike, which I inherited from my MIL. I have never had trouble riding a bike, but I can only ride
old lady bikes aka, old ladies' 3-speeds: I can only ride if I sit up straight, if my arms are apart (I could NEVER learn to ride a
10-speed with the curvy handlebars way forward and the gear-shift levers in the middle where you have to keep pedaling while putting hands together and manipulating levers and...yeah...no). But the bike is LOVELY and our ride was LOVELY and my daughter is GREAT and the weather was LOVELY.
Then in the afternoon, Husband called and let us know that the family friend for whom he was doing electrical work had invited us over to go out on a boat in the lake in their back yard. And so we went over and the family friend rowed the kids around the lake in a boat. It was gorgeous. The weather was perfect and it was just peaceful and beautiful.
Then, because we were over there, we picked up
beebalm's son and brought him home for a sleepover. The kids have had a blast.
And the yummy cobbler that I made I got to share with the friends and
beebalm's household, so it's not going to go bad and it was appreciated.
It was a good day.
