So much for my Thanksgiving hols...

I have been sick since Thursday morning.

I got T-giving dinner made, and it was VERY good. We at at my FIL's house, which was lovely: there was SPACE. I did the pumpkin pie prep at home while boiling the sweet potatoes and giblets and putting the stuffing together. Once the 23 lbs of bird was stuffed (with stuffing and into the roasting pan), the sweet potatoes were slipped out of their jackets, and the pumpkin pies were out of the oven, Husband and b1uemorpho helped me load stuff into the car, and, at FIL's, we put the bird into the oven, peeled the potatoes for mashed potatoes, put the peas out to thaw, and watched TV.

I've been coughing, snuffling, wheezing, and sleeping LARGE parts of the day since, and today at noon-ish was the first time I've felt better.

This afternoon, in a burst of energy, I actually--finally--denuded the bird, boiled the bones, have turkey soup on for later, and have turkey and rice casserole made and ready to put into the oven for tomorrow's dinner. YAY!

I've done research for Yuletide, brainstormed with someone more familiar with the canon than me, and am...getting...the rest of the canon that I'll need to be able to check. Since I'm setting it after the series, I'll be fine if I just get the temporal mechanics (as per this show) straight and get the voices down.

I DID get to help Olive (who liked turkey, and didn't mind the mashed potatoes, but HATED everything else, including the peas) with her history, but I've graded not a single paper. Arg...and I just remembered I told a kid I'd read over HIS paper for him.

tgiving, asthma, food, sick, wheezing, breathing, yuletide
