Tuesday's Gleee

Things that were good about today:

• I'm still pleased that we have an appointment for Friday...and now we have a child care plan.
  
• I think going over students' writing in freshman classes on the overhead was tremendously effective.
  
• Nice snuggling with Ben last night.
  
• Fun wrestling and tickling with Ben this afternoon.
  
• Elf demanded to be allowed to sit in my lap this afternoon because she wanted me.
  
• Got to see the 3rd Harry Potter movie, even if it was skipping because of our lame DVD player's incompatability with newer copy protection.
  
• Had the last of the yummy apple crisp (can't not have food on a Gleee list).

Things that I did well today:

• Played Chutes and Ladders with my daughter. She wanted only to go up the long ladders and down the long slides rather than playing the rules. She can't count on her own yet, but she reluctantly played by the rules, love the spinner, and although I was ahead the whole game, she won right at the end. She even let us switch to that game when Ben wanted to play with the Candyland board and pieces.
  
• I tidied and swept the living room. WOW, did it need it.
  
• I made dinner (though Ben tore things up while I was in the kitchen), and tidied up afterwards for the most part.
  
• Got a huge pile of stuff graded at school--am almost entirely caught up!
