...but I didn't ruin any good shoes, and I didn't have to go shopping...I'm just going to pay for it for rather a while now. :-(

That's the Shawnee National Park, right? I think that's the name of the forest park down there by Carbondale. . .

No...this was with school, so it was a National forest in DuPage County west of the city. Shawnee is, indeed, the name of the C'dale area one, though.
