An update
But well worth the wait. The Stone Chain is now winging its way to the Ursula Nordstrom Fiction Contest. I had a rather nerve-wracking morning when I discovered that my printer was not printing every word on the page! The ink was fine, the letters were all nice and dark, but here and there it wouldn't print a single word line (like the end of a paragraph) or the last line on the page! It was like the printer was slacking and hoped I wouldn't notice! I had to go through page by page and make sure all the pages had all the lines on it! Very annoying. But its done! Special thanks to my mom, who proof-read the first twelve chapters and offered suggestions on the cover letter, and my critique group, who joint-wrote the cover letter with me.
