Yet another in my ongoing series

Title: The Eyre Affair
Author: Jasper Fforde

Review: I loved this book. It's set in a sort of alternate reality where books and literature are almost real, and there are sects of people who religiously believe certain things (like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays). The story is told in the first person from the POV of Thursday Next, a LitraTec officer. Her job is basically a literary cop, who monitors forgers of manuscripts and things like that. The book is seriously strange, but captivating. After an invention is made by Thursday's uncle, characters literaly go into the text of books, most notably the novel "Jane Eyre". All of the characters are great, but the copious literary references may be confusing to someone who isn't familiar with the works. All in all, a fabulous book

Rating: I would definitely read this again, and I'm looking forward to the sequels.
