Shawn woke feeling groggy, but before he could panic, he blinked at the familiar room around him - and the familiar body beside him.
“Jules?”
“He’s awake!” called Juilet, then smiled, “How are you feeling?”
“Fuzzy,” he said. “What happened?”
She scowled. “Gus drugged you.”
“Yes, I did,” his best friend said, dropping onto the bed. “And I’d do it again. You were in too deep.”
“I was.” Shawn remembered now, studying the serial killer until he knew him, until he almost was him. “Thanks, buddy.”
“But you’re feeling better?” Juliet asked.
He looked at both of them, and smiled. “Yeah.”
