Tony’s sharp tone stopped McGee before he entered the bullpen. He’d only been a field agent for a few months, but he’d learned not to just walk into an unknown situation, even in their own office.
“Special Agent McGee is part of our team, and his authorization is as good as anyone else’s. Now, we’ll be expecting those records sent over by the end of the day. And if he requests any more files, I better not get another call questioning..”
McGee quietly headed back toward the elevator, grinning - he’d let Tony keep the secret that he respected him.
