“A metaphor is a phrase, not an actual plant.”
“Fair point,” his partner allowed. “But I can’t leave a phrase on your desk, now, can I?”
“Also fair,” said McGee, then frowned. “What phrase?”
“It’s an olive branch. For a fresh start after all those pranks.”
“Okay. But this isn’t olive. Where did you get this?”
“It’s a metaphor,” Tony repeated. “And from the edge of the parking lot.”
“The edge of the… This is poison ivy!”
