“What’s with the specials?” asked Dean, as the waitress went to put in their order. “Every diner we’ve been to lately, that’s what you get.”
“I appreciate the variety,” he replied, sliding over the ketchup Dean would need for his burger. “Now that my Grace allows me to taste my food.”
“Yeah, but the special’s usually just whatever’s leftover, not what’s best.”
“I find it fascinating how creative humans can be with limited resources. It’s always been one of my favorite parts of humanity.”
Dean smiled. “Yeah?”
“One of many.”
“Me?”
Cas reached over to take his hand. “Especially you.”
