“You okay, mama?” asked Hardison.
Parker leaned her head on his shoulder. “I guess.”
“You did good,” said Eliot, from her other side. “You helped Stacy see what her husband was really doing, but you were gentle with her.”
“I think he really does love her,” Parker said.
Hardison snorted. “Yeah, but he’s running a company that’s broken, like, all the environmental laws.”
“Well, yeah, we’re taking him down,” she replied. “But will Stacy help us?”
As if on cue, her phone rang.
Eliot bumped her shoulder. “You got this.”
Parker smiled at them, then answered the phone, “Hi, Stacy…”
