“Then what happened, Agent DiNozzo?”
Tony grinned at the group of trainee agents gathered around him in the break room, bandaged ankle up on a chair.
“Well,” he said. “I was injured, but the suspect was getting away. I just did what needed to be done, what any agent would do. In the end, there’s only justice. It doesn’t matter who gets the credit.”
As the trainees muttered appreciatively, McGee leaned against the doorframe. “Should we tell them he sprained his ankle after the suspect was in custody, tripping over a garden hose?”
“Perhaps in a few minutes,” said Ziva.
