Tony took a deep breath, expression serious.
“First,” he said, “has got to be communication. If there’s things you aren’t ready to tell me, that’s fine, but tell me that, at least. I’m your partner, and I want to be here for you. Which also means you can’t run off and deal with things by yourself. That’s what family is.”
Ziva nodded, solemnly. “I want that, too. To be a team, to be a family.”
“Good.” Tony smiled. “Then, yes, I’ll marry you.”
She laughed, and kissed him.
