Finding Mr. Right: Episode 3

Here is the 3rd chapter, time to send some people home!!

Today was the big day of the first ceremony to send home the first two guys. Akira had stayed up going over the pictures of the first date, eventually coming to her final choice. The guys hung out together during the day trying to make light of the situation even though it was obvious that everyone was on edge. Before the ceremony the guys were gathered in the living room, not knowing exactly why they were summoned. Suddenly the doors opened and surprised them all as Akira walked in with her sister.

“Hi guys…I just wanted to talk to you a bit before tonight’s ceremony,” she started off before she was interrupted by Noriko.

“Pay attention guys, don’t be distracted by your fantasies of two hot twins like us,” she joked with a smirk.

The room lightened up a bit at the joke which made Akira smile warmly at her sister. The two girls held hands as Noriko wanted to support her sister and show this different side to the guys. Her plan was successful as the guys couldn’t stop looking at the warm and loving woman who looked so different with her twin right by her.

“um anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that when I send you home I’ll always give you a reason and that I hope we don’t have any hard feelings between us. I know you all are very wonderful guys and I appreciate the fact that you decided to do this show, so I hope we can all be good friends after all this,” she shyly told them before bowing deeply to them all.

“Of course we can! I expect to see you on a variety show with me after this!” Aiba jumped up in response.

The guys nodded their heads and smiled, the mood lifting considerably. Akira smiled and nodded her head in agreement as she felt her heart ache at the thought of having to send home a couple guys so soon. With that the girls parted to get ready for the ceremony that was going to happen in no time at all.

Soon night had fallen and everyone was gathered in the ceremony room where there were enough chairs for everyone, four rows with five chairs, and a long red carpet leading from their chairs to a table. The guys were escorted into the room with the first date guys sitting in the first five chairs. The rest of the guys sat randomly in the rest of the seats as they watched the cameras record their moves. Their attention finally gathered together when they saw Akira being escorted by the hostess over to the table.
She was dressed in a long fitted black gown, her hair pulled up to expose her face and neck. She was adorned with diamond earrings, bracelet, and a necklace that was long enough to reach her cleavage. She looked very fancy as she carried some papers in her arms, pressed up against her chest. She stood by the table and slid the papers down on the surface so that the white side stayed face up to ide the picture on the other side.

“Finally we will start the ceremony. Akira will now explain what will happen,” Saya explained before standing back.

“Welcome guys. Here I have three photos from the date that the staff and I picked as the best. I will now present the pictures and if I don’t have it here then it means I’ve decided to send you home,” Akira talked confidently before pulling the first paper off the table.

She turned the picture and showed her and Tao on the blanket when Akira had placed a kiss on his forehead and Tao had just wrapped his arm around her waist. Tao stood up with a big smile on his face before walking towards her. She handed him the photo before he turned and walked back to sit down. She pulled the next picture off and turned it around revealing the picture of her and Hiromitsu with their arms around each other. Kitayama fumbled from his chair, unable to believe that he wasn’t going home. He bowed politely to her after taking the picture before quickly scurrying back to his seat.

“Now the last picture I have here is special. The staff and I agreed that this picture was the best and because of it the man in the picture will go on a private date with me after the ceremony. Now let’s reveal who it is…” she trailed off before revealing the picture.

It was a picture of Akira cupping Hong Bin’s face, both blissful and enjoying each other as though they were already a couple. He was speechless as he stood up and walked towards her. When he stopped in front of her he could see a faint blush on her cheeks.

“Mine was the best?” he asked doubting the moment.

She nodded her head before adding, “I don’t know what went on at that moment but I felt like there was no one else but you. So after this we’ll get to investigate it further, but for now please wait and Masaki and Jun Hong will you please come forward.”

The two stood up and walked forward with smiles on their faces, showing no bitterness towards her.

“Jun Hong, you were fun to be with but I think at your point in life you should focus on your school and not a big thing like this. You’re young and I don’t want to limit you from meeting lots of new people. So with that I think you should go,” she explained to him.

“I see what you mean and I agree, thanks anyways for this opportunity. I’ll be sure to do my best in school, if I have the chance I’ll face you again as an established man!” he confidently told her with a smile.

She smiled back at him before turning to Masaki, “You know how I feel about you, when we held hands and even when you kissed me I know you and I didn’t feel anything for each other. You’re like a big brother to me and I hope we can be that way to each other.”

“I feel the same you’re like an adorable little sister. Like I said before do stop by one of my shows and come play a bit with me,” Aiba responded back before enveloping her in a big hug.

It sparked a bit of jealousy from the other guys but he didn’t care since he was leaving anyways. Akira and Jun Hong exchanged a hug as well before they were taken from the room, waving behind to their comrades and Akira. Once the doors shut Akira turned back to the guys as the hostess turned to the cameras.

“The first two have left leaving eighteen men left to fight for Akira’s heart. The next date will take place in a couple days, in the meantime Akira and Hong Bin will go on their private date!” she announced before Akira made her way towards the guys.

She extended a graceful hand out to him which he quickly took before the two walked out leaving the other behind. Once the doors closed behind them Akira felt Hong Bin’s hand shift so that their fingers interlaced. She looked up into his face and saw him smiling widely, his dimples clearly showing. He had a faint blush on his cheeks as they walked together to their date location.

“I’m really happy I was chosen for this date alone…this way no one can come between us again,” he admitted shyly as they walked into the dining room.

Akira felt her heart beat loudly against her chest after hearing that, realizing that she was going to be alone with him. She felt him squeeze her hand gently making her look up to see him leaning down towards her. Her eyes widened as she froze, unsure of what he was doing. She closed her eyes waiting until she felt his head against hers. She opened her eyes to see him resting his forehead against her with a blissful look on his face.

“Isn’t this what you wanted to do that day? That’s why you had pulled me down to you right?” he asked her before opening his eyes and locking gazes with her.

Her face turned red as she stuttered, “A-Ah I-I what are you doing?!”

“Was I wrong? Did you want to do something else?!” he exclaimed before pulling away, his face turning bright red as well.

“Why are you surprised?! Did you think I wanted to make out with you or something?!” she snapped back as she tried to pull her hand away from him.

She felt embarrassed by her own thoughts that he was actually going to kiss her. She wanted to run away from him, but he held her hand and kept her from pulling away. Instead he pulled her towards him, wrapping an arm around her to keep her from getting away. She struggled against him as she felt the same feeling from that first date wanting to envelope her.

“Can I?” he asked her softly in her ear.

She shivered a bit as she tensed up at the sensation. She relaxed finally in his arms, easing her hand against his as they laced fingers again. His other hand came up to her cheek, gently easing her face upwards. She looked into his eyes and saw the same intense look in them that she saw before on the beach. It melted her willpower as he leaned in closer to her, hesitating slightly as he waited for any protest. She couldn’t stand the wait and closed off what little space was left between their lips.

It was sweet and short as the both of them were unsure about the other’s feelings. It was a kiss that she had never experienced before. Having always had the request of never doing a kiss scene, she was inexperienced which made her waver.

“Sorry if I’m a terrible kisser…I don’t do it often,” she admitted in a soft voice.

“That’s ok I’m the same,” he laughed lightly before giving her another quick peck.

She wasn’t expecting the kiss and pushed him away quickly as she snapped, “Don’t get carried away! It’s hard to believe you don’t do this often!”

“Ok forgive me,” he chuckled before coming back towards her.

She flinched from her shyness towards him, her heart racing like crazy. She heard his chuckle again, his laughter light and addicting. He reached out and gently eased her towards him, bringing her into a hug. She hid her face in his chest, her hands up against him as his own hands moved to her lower back.

“Can we just send everyone else home now?” he jokingly asked her.

“Don’t get carried away now…don’t think you’ve won just yet. Someone else might be able to woo me better than you do,” she answered back hiding her smile against him.

“I wonder about that…” he uttered under his breath to himself.

“What was that?”

“Oh nothing,” he reassured before he let her go and the two finally decided to enjoy their private dinner date.

Meanwhile the rest of the guys were gathered in the living room staring nervously at a hat that sat before them. They had to reach in and pull a paper out, the ones with a star mark on them would go on the next date. The three who were saved sat back and watched anxiously at who would be picked. One by one they drew their paper till there was none left. Then all at once they unfolded the pieces to check if they were chosen.

“Better to get this out of the way now than later,” Jun remarked as he showed off the star on his paper.

“Up against an actor like yourself? I hope the challenge for our date isn’t acting,” Jin joked as he showed his star marked paper.

“It’ll be fun I bet, let’s get along well!” Chanyeol added in as he playfully put the star paper up to his lips.

“I wouldn’t mind if it had to deal with basketball, I can at least have fun with that,” Kris remarked as he showed his star paper.

Ravi chuckled before looking over his band mate’s shoulder and seeing the star on his paper. Leo silently stared down at it before putting it down by the hat and walking out. Everyone was slightly confused as to why he walked out, chatting amongst themselves as they tried to figure out who the fifth member was. Ravi did his friend and favor and announced that Leo was the lucky guy.

Meanwhile Leo walked out of the house to the back and sat on one of the lounge chairs, silently thinking to himself.

“What are you doing alone? Shouldn’t you be inside with the other guys? Oh or maybe you’re jealous my sister is all alone with some other guy?” Noriko asked question after question as she walked up to him.

He stared silently at her before speaking in his soft whisper voice, “You sure talk more than her.”

“She’s shy around strangers so I had to step up and speak for her. We can’t get work if neither of us talks,” she responded as she sat on the chair next to his.

“I’m not jealous…I’m worried because I’m next,” he admitted.

“Don’t be worried, just be yourself around her. I kinda get the feeling that you and her will understand each other very easily. Trust me, I just know she won’t send you home right away,” she reassured him before patting him on the leg, “Good night and don’t worry. All the luck to you!”

With that she left him behind not knowing what kind of impact she had made at that moment.
