Strange Days at South Portland High
Today was very strange. Its spirit week so people are supposed to be having fun. A damper was certainly put on things with the word of the death of a student. It rocked everyone's world in some way. The majority of people I knew had no connection with this kid but the atmosphere of the school was more sullen than ever. I felt almost guilty for not being devastated. I cared of course, but I couldn't even put a name to a face so how could I be that affected? It was interesting to see the dynamic change to say the least. I was in awe at the way the school turned upside down.
